How to remove stretchmarks

Stretch marks can develop when the skin is stretched a lot over a short period of time : more specifically, the skin’s second layer (the dermis), becomes torn due to over stretching. Stretchmarks are most common around the stomach, breasts, thighs and hips. Both men and woman can suffer from stretch marks and they affect the majority of the adult population. Fortunately, stretch marks don’t affect our health and only blemish the skin. Of course, As it becomes warmer, and we wear fewer clothes, our concerns about stretch marks increase.
Stretch marks develop when the body grows so fast that the skin can’t stretch quick enough to keep up with it. Stretch marks are generally associated with pregnancy but can develop during puberty: sudden weight gain and even body building can also cause stretch marks.
Although skin is normally very elastic , when it is stretched, the normal production of collagen is disrupted. collagen helps to make sure the skin stays tight and supple. There are factors outside the body which affect the skins natural ability to produce and maintain collagen levels such as diet or smoking It is the level of collagen in the skin which affect the appearance of facial wrinkles and lines. They also influence how other blemishes, such as acne scars or even surgery scars, heal.
What do stretch marks look like?
When initially formed, stretch marks appear as reddish purple lines. They appear indented and feel different to the rest of the skin. as they get older, the deep colour fades, turning a silvery colour. The ability to heal however does vary considerably from individual to individual.
Remove stretch marks
Treating stretch marks can be done in several different ways. Stretch mark treatments vary wildly in cost and effectiveness, treatments range from creams to cosmetic surgery for a lot of people, stretch marks are a sign of imperfection and may make some people cover up even in summer, but this can be overcome or prevented by treatment to remove stretch marks.
Creams and oils are sold over the counter and are the chepest form of stretch mark removal however, not all creams work so, creams on their own aren’t affective to treat stretch marks. Combining this process with techniques such as micro-dermabrasion, allows a much higher percentage of cream absorbed by the skin so this method can be the easiest method for many people.
